Concept Note
United Nations Convention on Child Rights is a legally binding international agreement setting out the civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of every child, regardless of their race, religion, or abilities. Every year, the week starting on November 14, National Children’s Day in India and ending on November 20, Universal Children’s Day is celebrated as the International Child Rights Week. Against this backdrop of creating a visible unified action and a ‘movement’ by and for children/ youth across the state and with stakeholders including children, educational institutions and media, a movement with multiplier effect is going to be organised. A Consultative Meet during UNCRC Week is going to be organized in collaboration between XISS and Save the Children at XISS Campus Auditorium from 2 pm to 4.30pm. The discussion would be on “Rights of Children to create a Better Tomorrow “.
