Ranchi, Jharkhand | November | 18, 2017 :: The Annual Exhibition was organised with immense zeal and enthusiasm at Oxford Public School, Ranchi. In the exhibition the budding scientists of the school demonstrated the advancements in the field of science & technology and other areas in the recent years. In this exhibition more than 680 models and exhibits were displayed by 1229 students showing their scientific knack and interest to solve the concerns of the present day society.
On this occasion, Dr. Raghava Thakur, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi graced as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and lighting the inaugural lamp at 9.00 a.m. The students of the school presented awesome welcome song. In this exhibition, the students of the school were divided into 3 groups – A, B & C. Students of std. VI to XII presented models & exhibits on different subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Computer, Accounts, B.St. PHE, Social Studies, Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Fine Arts. Among all the models some important models were – Volcanic Eruption, Architecture in Victoria Memorial, Tesla Coil, Galactic Trooper, Iota, Magic of Chemistry, Hamlet, Swachh Bharat, Hydrolic Tree Shifter, Circulation of Blood, Heart, DNA Model, Vision 2050, Pollution, Drip Irrigation & Rain Water Harvesting, Planetarium, Copper Electrolysis, Crystal Tree, Moving Robot, Artificial Satellite, Tourism in India, Stickman Animation, Credit Creation GST, Multinational Companies, Recession, Glass Painting, Eiffel Tower, Volleyball Court, Basket Ball Court, Salt Lake Football Ground, Traditional Games etc. Fabulous skit performed by the students on Digitisation received huge round of applause from the audience.
Suraj Sharma, the Principal delivered the welcome speech and welcomed the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests. In his speech Suraj Sharma, the Principal of the school lauded the efforts of students and encouraged them to come forward in such activities to hone their skills for the all round development of their personalities. He mentioned that in such exhibitions there is the culmination of innovative and creative ideas of the students. The Principal exhorted the students to come forward to solve the burning problems of the society with the help of science. Dr. S.B.P. Mehta, the Chairman of the school expressed his happiness in his address seeing the innovative ideas and commendable hard work of the students and teachers. He thanked them on this occasion.
In his address, the Chief Guest Dr. Raghava Thakur appreciated the efforts and abilities of the students and their scientific and social concern. He further added that the science must be used properly. It should not be misused otherwise the beautiful boon will be the curse to the society. Dr. Thakur suggested the students to be honest and follow the good paths shown by the parents and teachers. The Chief Guest advised students to have right mental attitude and not to compromise on 2nd position ever in life. On this occasion, Dr. S.B.P. Mehta felicitated the Chief Guest Dr. Raghava Thakur by presenting him memento and shawl.
On this august occasion, Mrs. Rashmi Bakshi, the Principal, Jr. Wing also addressed the students and staff.
Mrs. A. Fatima, the Coordinator of the Annual Exhibition presented Vote of thanks. On this occasion many distinguished guests, Principals of different schools, parents, guardians, all the teachers and students were present. In this exhibition, Ms. Sweta Guha coordinated the annual exhibition successfully. All the teachers of different departments played their vital role to make it a grand success.
