Apple Pencil

September | Thursday | 10, 2015 :: Apple Pencil is an input device designed to work exclusively with iPad Pro. The accessory features pressure sensitivity and angle detection.

iPad Pro is designed to work with Apple Pencil. iPad Pro introduces a new display layer that detects force, allowing, for instance, for darker or lighter strokes in a drawing app depending on how hard the user presses. The new display layer in iPad Pro also reduces latency (the time between applying force and seeing the resultant mark), allowing for smoother drawing using Pencil. iPad Pro also allows simultaneous use of Apple Pencil and one’s fingers, while rejecting input from the user’s palm.
