Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra’s first ever hackathon, HACK-A-BIT continued on 27th October, 2018.

Ranchi, Jharkhand | October | 27, 2018 ::  Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra’s first ever hackathon, HACK-A-BIT continued on 27th October, 2018.

·         The teams continued their hack from day-1 and in between, there were two guest lectures, by the judges of the fest, scheduled for the day.

·         The first guest lecture was more of an interactive session with Mr. Kaushik MLN, Head of Engineering at ITVersity and Mr. Pratyush Agarwal, co-founder of CodeAsylums in room number 211 from 11:30 A.M.

·         They discussed about implementing ideas in the real world and their personal experiences being an alumni of BIT.

·         This was followed by a Q/A session where people asked doubts about their projects, coding concepts and problems they faced during their hack.

·         The mid evaluation of the teams was done from 3:00 P.M. The judges visited the three labs- Labs 4,6 and 7 in which the various teams were developing their projects, and checked on their progress. They even answered their queries regarding the projects.

·         The second guest lecture was delivered by Mr. Durga Gadiraju, Technology Consultant at Harman International, and also the founder of ITVersity, from 6:30 P.M. in the CAT Hall.

·         He spoke about his experience in executing complex projects using vast array of technologies including Big Data, Cloud, Data Sciences and Hadoop.

·         Following this, the teams resumed their project and will continue till 10:00 A.M. on 28th October, 2018 untill the Hackathon culminates.
