Ranchi, Jharkhand | November | 10, 2017 :: Xavier Institute of Social Service organised a Blood Donation Camp in association with Life Savers, Ranchi on 10th November, 2017 at XISS Auditorium. Ranchi. With high spirits, people from all the departments turned up in good numbers with the motto of “Save a life, Give blood”.
Under the watchful eyes of Prof. Dr. Viplava Thakur in coordination with Atul Gera of Life Savers, all the processes needed for clearance for blood donation were made with the help of a team of doctors and assistants from RIMS, Ranchi and volunteers from the Department of Rural Management.
There was also a talk organized a few days prior to the blood donation camp by Atul Gera and through this talk, Mr. Gera, covered all aspects of blood donation- the health benefits, the do’s and don’ts before and after blood donation, while clearing all the myths and fads related to blood donation.
The Camp was quite successful with around sixty units of blood being collected which could potentially save up to 210 lives.
