Delhi | October | 09, 2017 :: Shahdara & North-East Districts Legal Services Authority, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi in association with IMA East Delhi Branch and Sree Krishna Medical & Research Centre, Mayur Vihar Phase-1 Delhi-110091 organized a Free Medical & Legal Camp for Right, Respect and Care of Senior Citizens on 8th October 2017 at Sree Krishna Medical and Research Centre Mayur Vihar Delhi.
More than 200 Senior Citizens availed the facilities provided by Doctors from different specialties and advocates from DSLSA.
Dr. Neelam Lekhi President of IMA East Delhi has taken this initiative of providing Free Medical & Legal Advice to Senior Citizens. Four such camps have been held by the leadership in various parts of East Delhi till date out of the 21 camps planned to be held . As 1st OCTOBER has been designated as the SENIOR CITIZENS DAY , it was planned to hold this camp on such a large scale. Today’s camp has been by far the most successful one.
Success of this camp can be attributed to a good team work under Dr. Vandana Gupta, Chairperson, Community Services, IMA EDB.
DLSA activity gave advice to Senior citizens regarding their rights. They will continue this to all the camps organized by IMA EDB.
Dr. Ajay Lekhi, Chairman, Senior Citizen programme assured the convenor Dr. Hariharan that IMA EDB will conduct such camps regularly.
Dr. Hariharan, Convenor, SKMRC said that senior citizens care should be the prioty of the socity and also more such initiative would be planned with IMA EDB.
