Ranchi, 24 August 2013 :: Jharkhand Photographic Association [ JPA ] demonstrated near Albert Ekka Chowk, Ranchi against the gang-rape of Female Photo Journalist. The Female Photojournalist was gang raped in Mumbai on 22nd of August. They demanded immediate arrest of all the culprits who are behind the heinous crime. A large numbers of members of the association participated in the protest. They were holding playcards & were shouting Slogans.
According to reports, the 22-year old photo journalist, an intern, had gone on assignment to Shakti Mills, shooting for magazine assignment in the busy Mahalaxmi area on the evening of August 22. She was accompanied by a male colleague. Reports indicate that three among the five assailants then proceeded to brutally assault the woman photo journalist, while two others held her male colleague down.According to the latest report two of the five accused were arrested by Mumbai Police.
