Diwali celebration and Inter House Rangoli making competition at Oxford

Ranchi, Jharkhand | October | 18, 2017 :: On the eve of Deepawali, Oxford Public School, Pragati Path, Ranchi organized an Inter House Rangoli Making Competition and cerebrated safe and creative Deepawali. In this competition, 64 students from std. VI-XII of 4 different houses Shakespeare, Eliot, Byron & Keats participated very enthusiastically. They made wonderful Rangolis with various colours and decorated with diyas. The entire ambience was replete with colours and illumination. In this competition Eliot House became the Champion House with 72 points and Keats House was the Runner up House with 48 points.

Suraj Sharma, the Principal of the school explained this five day festival. The Principal highlighted the importance of Diwali as it is the celebration of victory of good over evil knowledge over ignorance and light over darkness. Chhath has also a great environmental and social significance. The Principal wished Happy Diwali and Chhath to one and all suggesting to celebrate Eco Friendly Diwali. Further he advised the students to help the downtrodden people on this occasion to multiply their own joy.

On this occasion all the students and teachers were present.
