Ranchi, Jharkhand | November | Tuesday | 10, 2015 :: Today an array of events were organised at oxford Public School, Pragati Path, Old H.B.Road, Ranchi on the occasion of Diwali. At the Junior Wing, in the morning assembly the students delivered speeches on Diwali, recited poems and there was the fantastic portrayal of the characters of the Ramcharitmanas. Earthen diyas were lighted which illuminated the entire ambience of the school. On this happy occasion, Mrs. Rashmi Bakshi, the Principal of Jr. Wing addressed the students and advised them to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali.
At the Senior Wing, an Inter House Rangoli Competition was organised in which 64 students of different four groups A, B, C & D from Std. VI to XII participated with ample fun and frolic. The students made colourful and creative rangolis which mesmerised all the students and staff. Dr. S. B. P. Mehta, the Director of the school, appreciated this venture of the students and staff and wished them a very Happy Diwali. Dr. Mehta added that such celebrations remove the monotony of life and fill it with happiness and excitement. On this occasion all the students and staff were present.
