Delhi | April | 29, 2017 :: In compliance of the plan of action of Delhi State Legal Service Authority 2017, DLSA North-East District in association with DLSA Shahdara District & East District organised Legal Awareness/Sensitization Programme for Police Officials of District Shahdara, North-East and East on the topic of “Building Intergenerational Bonding for Ageing with Dignity with Special Emphasis on Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007” on 28th April 2017 at conference hall, Karkardooma Court Complex, Delhi. Dr. Abha Choudhary, Chairperson, ANUGRAHA NGO and Ruchi Mishra Counselor & Trainer delivered the lecture along with speakers Arvind Bansal (Secretary – North East DLSA) and Sh. Rakesh Tiwari (Judge-North East), AS Jay Chandra (Judge- Shahdara District) and Talwan Singh (Judge – East District. Delhi Police officials Ravinder Yadav (Joint CP), Smt. Nupur Prasad (DCP- Shahdara), DCP East, DCP North East and ACPs , SHO’s, SI, ASI were invited. Speakers told about the laws of Senior Citizens and how they can get those benefits from it. Sh. Ravinder Yadav Joint CP told about the mobile app of senior citizen by Delhi Police and they can easily operate that to interact with their local police officials. Counselor & Trainer Ruchi Mishra have given the demo about the human psychology that related to senior citizen while interacting with them. Joint CP also told them about what precautionary measures that every senior citizen can take so that they can have some protection.
