05 February 2015 :: The largest online-shopping website in China has tested using drones to deliver goods. The trial took place in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, the three largest cities in mainland China.
Alibaba is using its drones to deliver orders for a specific type of ginger tea, helping limit the maximum weight of the packages to 340g (12oz).

Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE: BABA) is a Chinese e-commerce company that provides consumer-to-consumer, business-to-consumer and business-to-business sales services via web portals. It also provides electronic payment services, a shopping search engine and data-centric cloud computing services.
