Gurgaon, Haryana | August | Saturday | 01, 2015 :: The Faculty development program 2015 at ASU began today. It is a program directed towards training and orientation of faculty members of ASU. The program began with registration after which kits consisting of relevant material were handed to every member. The program was opened by VC, Dr. Pankaj Gupta. In opening the speech he highlighted the collective goal of attracting 1000+ students to the University by 2016.
The session was followed by a talk of Academic Dean Prof. Joyel Rodney where he elaborated on the liberal Arts Philosophy with examples. Post lunch Dr. J.Veeraraghavan shed light on the challenges of higher education and role of teachers. He also took time out to engage in particular fruitful discussion with the members present. The session was followed by Brief presentation of courses proposed. All the courses were inter disciplinary and in tune with the liberal arts objective. The faculty have been advised and encouraged to start this new semester with focus on principles and academic system. The day was concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Anupama Deewan .
