Ranchi, Jharkhand | January | 17, 2018 :: Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi on Wednesday, 17th January, 2018 held the Grand Finale of the Inter-Departmental Basketball Tournament which began with great enthusiasm and fervour on 10th January, 2018. in Manresa House
Dr. (Fr.) Alexius Ekka S.J. Director, XISS along with Fr. Pradeep Kerketta S.J, Asst. Director, XISS welcomed the audience. Fr. Amit Lakra S.J. Director of Manresa House was the Guest of Honour for the event along with Fr. Xavier Soreng S.J. Other distinguished guests were the Heads of Departments, professors and staff.
The finale consisted of two parts: a match between the girls’ teams of Departments of Rural Management and Finance as well as between the boys’ teams of Departments of Finance-II and HRM-II. The girls’ team of the Department of Finance won, the scores standing at 22-6 and the boys’ team of the Department of HR won by a difference of 21 points. As the exciting event came to an end, the Best Player’s Trophy for the tournament went to Yashaswini Pandey of the Finance Girl’s Team and Abhas Ekka of the HRM-II Boys’ Team.
The Man Of the Match Trophies went to Yashaswini Pandey of the Finance Girl’s Team and Jyoti Munda of the HRM-II Boys’ Team. The event came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony.
