17 November 2014 :: Punjab government on Sunday announced exemption of entertainment tax on Chaar Sahibzaade, which is an animation movie based on the life of four sons of tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh.
Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has sanctioned tax free status for Punjabi movie directed by Harry Baweja.
Chaar Sahibzaade is a 2014 Punjabi 3D animated film directed by Harry Baweja. It is the first photo realistic 3D animation film in Stereoscopic 3D [ S-3D ] on Sikh history. Film is based on the sacrifices of the four sons of 10th Sikh Guru Guru Gobind Singh- Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh. The younger pair, referred as the “Chotte Sahibzaade” were martyred together by the Mughals in Sirhind at the age of 6 and 9 years old. The older ones, referred as the “Vaade Sahibzade” died in Battle of Chamkaur Sahib.
