Ranchi, Jharkhand 11 July 2014 :: Funeral function of [ Lal Chintamani Sharan Nath Sahdeo ] Ratu Maharaj was held in Ratu Fort, Ratu. Sahadeo [ 83 ],the last king of Chotanagpur princely state, died on his way to Apollo Hospitals in Ranchi on Thursday evening. The body, which is to be cremated on the banks of Ganga in Vasanasi, was kept at his Palace at Ratu for the last darshan. A Large number of VIPs including Geetashree Oraon [ Minister, Jharkhand ], C.P Singh [ Ex Speaker, Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha ], Sajal Chakraborty [ Chief secretary in-charge, Jharkhand ] and many other paid Homage to the departed Soul. Jawans of Ranchi Police gave gaurd of Honour by firing thirty gun shots.
