Germany beat Argentina to clinch their fourth World Cup title.14 July 2014 :: Germany defeated Argentina to clinch their Fourth FIFA World Cup Final. Final Match was held at Estádio Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Germany won the match 1–0 after extra time, with a goal from Mario Götze. The result marked Germany’s fourth World Cup title, their first since German reunification and their first won outside Europe. Germany’s victory meant that three consecutive World Cups have been won by teams from the same continent, following Italy and Spain in 2006 and 2010 respectively, the first time this has happened in World Cup history. Germany are also the first European side to win a World Cup hosted in the Americas.
