15 February :: Randhir Kapoor  was born 15^th of  February 1947. He is a Bollywood actor, producer and director. His nickname is Daboo. Randhir Kapoor hails from the legendary Kapoor family. He is the eldest son of Raj Kapoor. He is a fourth generation Kapoor and comes from a distinguished Punjabi Hindu  family who have been part of the Hindi film industry for many years. His great great grandfather was Dewan Basheshwar Nath Kapoor, his grandfather was actor Prithviraj Kapoor, his paternal uncles are actors Shammi Kapoor (late), and Shashi Kapoor. His brothers are actors Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor. His wife is actress Babita and his daughters are actresses Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. His nephew is actor Ranbir Kapoor, son of Rishi Kapoor.
Randhir married actress Babita on 6 November 1971 after co-starring with her in Kal Aaj Aur Kal. Before the marriage took place, his to-be wife agreed to leave acting as a profession to abide by the Kapoor traditional views that woman should not get involved in acting and instead should live a marital and domestic house-life. Their two daughters, Karisma Kapoor, born in June 1974 and Kareena Kapoor, born in September 1980,are actress.
