Hemant Soren sworn in as the Ninth Chief minister of Jharkhand.

Hemant Soren sworn in as the Ninth  Chief minister of Jharkhand.Ranchi, 13 July 2013 ::  Jharkhand Mukhti Morcha [ JMM ] leader Hemant Soren,  was  sworn in as the Ninth  Chief minister of Jharkhand. The tribal leader was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Syed Ahmed at the Birsa Mandap, Raj Bhavan, Ranchi.

 Rajendra Prasad Singh [Congress ]  and Annapurna Devi [RJD ] were also sworn in as ministers.

Hemant Soren was born on 10th of  August 1975 in Nemara in Ramgarh district, Bihar to Roopi and Shibu Soren, former Chief Ministers of Jharkhand state and prominent tribal leader. His elder brother is Durga and younger brother is Basant and has a sister, Anjali.

Formerly, he was a Deputy Chief Minister in the Arjun Munda ministry. He was a member of Rajya Sabha from 24 June 2009 to 4 January 2010.  He won as an MLA from Dhumka.He is married and has two  sons.
