IIM Ranchi Celebrated 73rd Independence Day with full fervour

Ranchi, Jharkhand | August | 15, 2019 :: Indian Institute of Management Ranchi celebrated 73rd Independence Day at its three venues- the Campus at Suchana Bhawan, the Hostel at Khelgaon residential premises and the New Campus site with enthusiastic participation from faculty, students and staff members.


The Honourable Director of IIM Ranchi, Dr. Shailendra Singh, unfurled the National Flag at the Suchana Bhawana campus and the New Campus site while Academic Mentor Prof. K.N. Singh hoisted the flag and presided over the ceremony at Khelgaon Hostel premises. It was followed by the National Anthem which filled the hearts of the IIM Ranchi family members with great patriotic fervour. Students at all the venues celebrated the occasion by patriotic renditions- songs which was appreciated by one and all with loud applause.


With his vast knowledge, incredible achievements and over thirty years of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Shailendra Singh addressed the faculty, students and staff present in the occasion. He spoke about how they can participate with honesty and integrity for the upliftment of our country. He encouraged the faculty members to give emphasis on quality in teaching, research, and consultancy and help IIM Ranchi to be in a better rank among the Management Institutions. He motivated the students to work with sincerity and honesty. At the campus site, Dr. Singh discussed about how the campus construction has progressed so far and emphasized to achieve the set targets on the completion of the campus.


Faculty, students and staff took part in the massive tree plantation drive at the new campus site. This was a special moment for IIM Ranchi since the new campus site witnessed the flag hoisting ceremony for the first time. The campus is under construction over 60.04 acres of land.
