Ranchi, Jharkhand | March | 26, 2018 :: IIM Ranchi Successfully Completes Final Placements for class of 2018
Since its inception, IIM Ranchi has consistently achieved excellent placements for both its flagship programs, PGDM and PGDHRM, and the recently concluded final placements also reflect the same. 102 companies, of which over 60 companies were first-time recruiters, participated in the process and made a total of 181 offers. The exceptional growth witnessed in placements this year stands as a testament to our focus on academic excellence and holistic learning.
The average compensation offered to the PGDM students stands at INR 16.07 LPA, with the domestic average at INR 15.09 LPA. The highest international compensation offered was 57 LPA for the PGDM batch.
The average compensation for the PGDHRM batch saw a substantial increase of 14.43% standing at INR 14.67 LPA.
PGDM students were offered coveted roles across various domains of their preference with the highest number of offers being made in Sales & Marketing (39%) followed by IT & Analytics (17%), Finance (16%), General Management & Operations (16%) and Strategy & Consulting (12%).
This season witnessed the return of major brands and prominent associations like Accenture, Berger Paints, Bharat Forge, Bosch, BPCL, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, Capgemini, Cognizant, DS Group, Emami, GAIL, GMR Group, Google, ICICI, IBM, HP, JP Morgan Chase, L&T, Maruti Suzuki, RPG, Samsung R&D, Sony Pictures, Tata Steel, Wipro and Yes Bank. These companies reinforced their trust in the institute’s holistic learning and opened new profiles in various domains.
This year also saw a significant rise in the number of first time associations, with prestigious organizations like Media.net, ONGC, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Vedanta Group, to name a few, offering coveted roles across domains.
