Independence Day celebrations :: Blood Donation Camp 

Ranchi, Jharkhand | August | 15, 2017 :: On the holy eve of our 71st Independence Day, a Flag hoisting and Blood Donation Camp was organized by the students of XISS, Information Technology Department 2017-19 at Church Complex, Main Road, Ranchi. The program stared at 10:00 am.  National flag was hoisted by Sandeep Garodia of Church Complex. Prof. S.N. Singh, Head Of Department Information Technology, Professor S. R. Roy, professor Madhumita Singha, professor Mahua Banerjee, Dr. Viplava Thakur and Atul Gera attended the flag hoisting ceremony. Even the shopkeepers of church complex participated whole heartedly and came in large numbers. A huge crowd gathered to celebrate our National Festival of Unity. The air filled with the tunes of our National Anthem andslogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. Sweets were distributed to everyone present there.

This event was followed by blood donation Camp organized by students under  Atul Gera and Dr. Viplava Thakur in association with RIMS.  The camp was set up in the parking area of Church Complex. This event was organised with the aim to make people stand for each other through donating blood. Students showed their enthusiasm and dedication and also motivated people to come forward for blood donation. Such a humanitarian work and the participation of people in large numbers was truly appreciable. The camp ended at 3:00 pm and a total of 30 units of blood were collected by the RIMS representatives.
