23 July 2013 :: Indian Badminton League [ IBL ] is a proposed franchise league by Badminton Association of India [ BAI ]. The Inaugural edition of the Indian Badminton League will take place in India from 14th of August to 31st August 2013. Opening Ceremony will be at Delhi on 13 August 2013 and Final at Mumbai on 31st of August 2013. Semi finals will be held at Hyderabad and Bangalore. This will have Indian as well as foreign players.
Actor Aamir Khan and actress Deepika Padukone are going to be brand ambassadors of this league. There are also plans of bringing Sunil Gavaskar as a badminton aficionado.
