Joy of Giving :: A Pre-Diwali Gift of spreading smiles from IIM Ranchi

Ranchi, Jharkhand | October | 13, 2019 :: Indian Institute of Management Ranchi, strongly believes in fulfilling its motto of ‘BahumukhoVikasoGantavya’ a complete and inclusive development of the self and society.
As a step towards our social responsibility, Samarpan:The Social Responsibility club of IIM Ranchi organized its annual extravaganza ‘Joy of Giving’ at Khelgaon.
The pre-diwali event was aimed at raising funds to donate to an old age home, our ancillary staff and upliftment of village Rasabera. NN Vibhakar, a junior coordinator of the club exclaimed “Joy of Giving is a fundraising event where we invite the helping hearts to contribute towards making Diwali merrier and brighter for the underprivileged sections by spreading smiles.” The theme this year was ‘Bollywood Blockbusters’ and saw numerous stalls being set up that sold services like food, games, dance and art bootcamps and many more. The show stealers were The UNGC PRME Steering Committee (the sustainability body) stall that sold saplings and also the stall that had relaxing massages to offer as service. The ancillary staff too put their talents on display by running a stall that sold beautiful artwork and some delicious local food. The event can be put in a nutshell as ‘Funds along with Fun’ with both purposes being served to the fullest.
