Barhi, Hazaribagh – June 28, 2015 :: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Laid the foundation stone of the campus of Indian Agriculture Research Institute [ IARI ] at Goriya Karma village in Barhi, Jharkhand.
On this occassion Governor Draupadi Murmu, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Union State Finance Minister Jayant Sinha, Union Agricultural Minister Radha Mohan Singh and others were present.
The institute, which will offer post graduate and doctoral courses, will have three major schools focusing on natural resources management, crop improvement and protection and horticulture and forestry.
The institute will give thrust on research and extension programmes for addressing major regional challenges.
