Ranchi, 13 January 2012 :: This time Makar sankranti will be celebrated on 15th instead of 14th of Jan says Swami Divyanand [Dr. Sunil Burman], famous Astrologer. He says We celebrate Makar Sankranti, when Surya enters in Makar rashi. This year Surya will enter in maker rashi in 6.42Pm & Sunset will be on 5.17Pm. He added that the time between Sunset & Sunrise is called Punyakaal & after Punyakaal we celebrate Makar sankranti. So this year we will celebrate Makar Sankranti on 15th of Jan.
Dr. Burman added that after several years, ‘mahasanyog’ will occur for 20 hours on Makar Sankranti. Three auspicious yogs- Sarvartha Siddhi yog, Amrit yog, Ravi yog- will occur at the same time on January 15.
The mahasanyog will start at 7.14am on January 15 and end at 4.58pm.
The Three yogs are
Amrit yog: Any work that is commenced during this time succeeds.
Sarvartha Siddhi yog: Any work that is commenced during this time yields best results and all your wishes get fulfilled. One should go shopping during this time as it is believed that it pleases Goddess Lakshmi.
Ravi yog: You will get the desired results and any kind of negativity is removed during this yog. People are adviced to donate alms during this time. This yog is important for people in administrative and political spheres.
