Mega Model Project Exhibition at DPS, Ranchi.

Ranchi, Jharkhand 13 December 2014 :: Inkeeping with the spirit of DPS Ranchi a series of splendid exhibits covering various important subjects was held in the school premises on 13.12.2014. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. B.K Jha [ ED RDCIS, SAIL ]. The other dignitaries who were present today were  Anurag Gupta [  LG Budget & Provisions ] and Smt Pooja Singhal [ Director Social welfare ].The uniqueness of this exhibition lies in the fact that it has covered so many subjects like Science, Maths, English, Hindi, Social Science, Art& Craft, Business Studies, Engineering Graphics, Accountancy and Economics. Around 600 models had been put up. The icing on the cake was of course the display of class magazines of each and every section. This concept of giving an opportunity to the students to exhibit their creative acumen section wise was the brain child of the principal Dr.Ram Singh who is an exemplary role model for his students and is always futuristic in his approach.Children had covered all aspects of education through projects, models like green farming, Hydel power generation which was represented by the students Class X. Srijan Sharma, Uday Shankar Sen, Sarthak and Saurav Kumar of class X presented a model on Ghandhiji’s Dream – Swach Bharat – Khushal Bharat was applauded by one and all . The model on solar bottle bulb also gathered a lot of appreciation . In English section the models that stole the show was that of the famous casket scene of Merchant of Venice, the model depicting the romantic age of English literature and model on the play Mother’s Day.

The model about how we can develop a smart city keeping in mind the idea of our prime minister Narendra Modi and this vision related to the three sectors of economy – primary, secondary and tertiary by Srishty Sarawagi, Bhavna Somani, Amya Choudhary, Aditya Raj Tak Abhinav Garg of class XI was the major attraction of Economics section .The students were highly appreciated by the Chief Guest for the deep involvement and creative spirit in presenting such an interesting as well as impressive show. He was full of praise for Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPS Ranchi, for providing the students such a wonderful platform to showcase their innovativeness.

On the whole the entire show was a grand success.
