Panache :: 2016 : The Final Day

Ranchi, Jharkhand | February | Friday | 19, 2016 :: The final day of Panache2016 started with a fervour and enthusiasm which in no way was lesser than the earlier days. The excitement could be felt and it was infectious.

The day started with the event of Man vs Food brought out all the foodies of XISS to eat golgappa’s, paranthas, ice creams and mirchi’s.
The first prize in Boys category was given to Chandrashekhar from St. Xaviers and Second prize was given to Shubham Kumar from XISS.
In Girls category, the winner was Anu from XISS and Deeksha from St. Xaviers came second.

The event of Marketing Marshal was based on a perfect business model plan, sponsored by the Punjaabi Hunt where the teams had to express their plan through a powerpoint presentation followed by an interactive question answer round.
The winners were Nipun Jain, Shreysee Banka, Adarsh Agarwal and Sweta Sinha with their business idea of e-jobs.

The last round of Personallite started with 8 finalists who were supposed to do a role play on the given themes such as Friday night casuals, official cocktail dinner, and recruitment from a reputed B-school etc. The outfits were sponsored by Van Huesen. After the stupendous performances of the participants the judges Professor Rohit Vishal Kumar, Professor Nidhi Dubeyand Kamlesh Chauhan awarded the first prize to Somak Sengupta and Runner ups was awarded to Pooja Sengupta.

The last and third round of Best Manager was that of role play. The teams were given a situation and they had to enact it. The judges Arpit Shauq, Prof. Mary Shiela Bodra and Prof.Shyamal Gomes evaluated the teams. Team synergy (Somak Sengupta, Pooja Sengupta and Bidisha) bagged the first position and Team Marketer 5.0 (Bidushi Singh, Raunak Vishal and Anurag Deepankar) came second.

The Dubsmash Event called upon the movie enthusiast and all the drama lovers of the college.
The winning team consisted ofDebanjalidey,Yukti verma and Arunnima sengupta followed up by the team of Jithin mohan, Stavey Xavier and Shweta shinde.

The online gaming event Gamebuzz keeping up with its name created a buzz. It had two online games: Fifa’14 which was won by Mayukh Awode with Arpit Gabriel at the second position. NFS was won by Pranaya Kumar Singh with Aryan Deep at second position.

Thesaurus – the treasure hunt event witnessed a mammoth participation. The event was conducted in 3 rounds. The first round was a quiz competition followed by a scavenger hunt where the participants were to beg, borrow or steal the items given in a list provided to them. The top four teams had to solve progressive clues to win the competition. Jithin Mohan and Shubham.

The last round of crossroads brought the Roadies like madness to an end and Shashi Shekhar and Rodericks emerged as the winner. The second position had a tie between Sanjeev paul, Soham gosh and Ashitdodrae, Clayburnclavert.

Politicomania invited students to form parties and contest elections. Four parties presented manifestos and sought the votes of the audience. The event then asked every student to cast their vote. After two days of voting, top 3 teams qualified for finals with BJP leading. The parties then had to represent 4 ministries and debate on various issues with BJP ultimately winning the event grandly

Mr.& Ms. Panache – the most awaited event of XISS Panache’16 started with 32 contestants battling out their way to fame and glory and become the pageant for XISS. It came to an end with Somdev Biswas claiming the title of Mr. Panache’16 and Navya Bali the title of Ms.Panache’16.

The splendid night full of oomph concluded with a groovy performance by DJ Dimpy.
