Ranchi, Jharkhand | February | 10, 2018 :: The final day of the college fest ‘PANACHE-2018’, at XISS started with a battle of the artists in the dress making competition. The auditorium was crowded with participants filled with energy to make the best outfit out of old newspapers. Allotted with a time limit of 1.5 hours, the judges were Pooja Dhadha owner of Sweet Sixteen boutique and Prof. Rajshree Verma who judged the participants under the three criteria i.e; Creativity, Presentation and Overall. Finally at the end of the final minute the models walked the ramp and it was team Swarika’s design getting the first position, whereas the runner up for the competition was given to team Puja Kumari each awarded with the cash prize of Rs 3000/- and Rs 1500/- respectively.
At 12 in the noon the main stage of the PANACHE-2018 was all set the host Skit competition. The participants were given the theme of College life in which they had to present their act. Prof. S.R. Roy and Prof. Mahua Banerjee were the judges for the event. It was team HR-2 under the leadership and direction of Swaroop Bariktar bagging the first prize for the competition with a cash award of Rs 3000/- and were followed by team IT’ans who stood second with a cash reward of Rs 1500/-. The participants depicted beautifully the life of a normal college student starting from freshers till farewell.
The final day of the fest also hosted a sports event of FUTSAL a game similar to that of football. A total of six teams participated including a team from Amity, Ranchi. The teams who participated were Z Warriors, Finance-1, Golden-Bulls, Bangla Barood and Amity. The first match for the event was between Z Warriors and Finance-1. In which Z warriors defeated Finance-1 by 2-0. The final match for the day was between XISS and Amity in which XISS team won by 1-0. The winners for this event too like all other events were rewarded with cash prizes.
A creative ad-making competition organised by the students of Marketing and HRM was held in the main stage of XISS this day too. A total of 7 teams participated in this event comprising of students from different branches of XISS. The judges for this event were Prof. A.R. BODRA, Head of the Department- MARKETING, Prof. Tina Murarka and Prof. Nidhi Shukla. There was an element of surprise for the teams as the members were swapped between the teams participating. A total of three rounds were there to select the winning team. First being an ad-video making round, in the second round the participants had to market a coffee and finally in the last round the participants were given a prop which they had to sell. The winners were Harkirat Singh and Ashutosh Shrivastav from marketing-1 and the runner up award was given to Sanober Haidri and team from HRM-1, Srijeet Chatterjee and team won the award for the best ad-video. All the winners were given cash prizes along with the honours.
Today’s event will end with Walk the Ramp competition, Prize Distribution ceremony and DJ performance.
