23 January 2015 :: Classic characters Veeru, Jai and Gabbar from 1975 super-hit film “Sholay” will now entertain kids through a series of animated TV movies.
The first movie of the four part series will premiere on Republic day, 26 January at 12:00 pm. Jai and Veeru will be seen as mischievous kids and while parents will remember the qualities of friendship and loyalty, kids will see the legendary characters for the first time.
The new animated look of the iconic movie characters — originally played by Amitabh Bachchan (Jai), Dharmendra (Veeru) and Amjad Khan (Gabbar) — were created by Graphic India’s SVP creative, Jeevan J. Kang, with the script for the animated series penned by acclaimed writer Alok Sharma.
