10. About Photo :: This place is known as ‘Chandubi Lake‘. There used to be a huge mountain in this very place. During the 1897 Great Assam Earthquake, the epicenter of it was just below the ‘Shillong Plate’. It was such ferocious intensity that the huge mountain went inside the earth. With time and age, water accumulated. This is now a ‘Beel’ or Lake. Swimming is strictly prohibited in this area.
