Pragya’s gurukul observed  Green day cum Rakshabandhan celebrations

Ranchi, Jharkhand | August | 04, 2017 :: Pragya’s gurukul observed  Green day cum Rakshabandhan celebrations as the second leg of Varshotsav Celebrations. The premises of the school were decorated for the occasion. Students appeared in green attire, to reflect the theme of the event. The festival was opened at 10:30 am by Senior Teacher Amardeep Kaur who also orchestrated the ceremonies. Young farmers sowed seeds in their segments of predefined flower beds and vowed to care for their charges till fruition. This shall expose them to the ingredients of nature, the travails of production and the challenges braved by farmers. The long-drawn experiment is programmed to instil respect for food. Children tied Raksha sutra on the wrists of each other. In conducting this, they took another small step towards demystifying universal brotherhood.

The Chief Guest, Usha Sinha. President, All India Women’s Confrerence (Jharkhand Chapter) encouraged the emerging minds and shed valuable light on food preservation & the essence of Raksha Bandhan.

The function was attended by many invitees, numerous guardians, and the entire team of pragya’s gurukul.
