Ranchi, Jharkhand | February | 10, 2018 :: IIM Ranchi organizes Radix’18, its annual business conclave, on 10th and 11th of February 2018. The event involves eminent speakers from the industry coming together to share their experiences and insights. It provides a base to complement the learning imbibed in a B-school with the hands-on experience from the industry which the students aspire to be a part of. The first of the business conclave began at BNR Chanakya Ranchi by 10 am. To begin the day on a spiritual note, the lamp was lit by the speakers.
The theme selected for the fourth edition of Radix is ‘Business 361’. The major speakers of the day were M Sathya Kumar, a motivational speaker, enthusiast, CEO of Tycoon advisors, Ashwini Tambi, an educationist, a developer of goals and the co-founder and director of bookmyadmission.com, ARKS Srinivas, an entrepreneur, an academic guru, and the CEO of MBA group Career Launcher, Harpreet Kanwar, CTO Life Sciences, Cognizant, an innovation driver and, Dr. Harish Pant, MD, Hampson Industries, an industry stalwart and experience of over 33+ years in numerous companies.
M Sathya Kumar explained the growth factors of businesses and the importance of social responsibility, how the businesses should be run with consciousness. Ashwini Tambi expounded upon the need to bring education to masses and its huge potential and challenges. ARKS Srinivas threw light on entrepreneurship in the field of education and also spoke about various areas of opportunities, challenges and enlightened the success factors.
Harpreet Kanwar explained how technology is impacting all industries and the need for companies to keep up with the changes. Harish Pant elucidated manufacturing block chain and the need to tap wasteful activities to create change.
The event was attended by leading faculties of the city, the students of IIM Ranchi and many other industrialists. Based on the theme of Business 361, each speaker gave insights, views, opinions and facts about the dynamics of the current world: How and what is changing, what can happen and what will happen in the future.
With active participation and great speeches, the day one of Radix’2018 concluded.
Day 2 of Radix will witness more speakers from organizations like Reliance Industries Limited, L&T Finance, Deloitte India and Allied Blenders & Distillers Pvt. Ltd. address students on the theme. The closing ceremony will have the vote of thanks delivered by the Secretary of the Student Council of IIM Ranchi.
