Sanction of Loans under PMMY to more than one Lakh beneficiaries in the state of Jharkhand during the Mega MUDRA campRanchi, Jharkhand | September | Tuesday | 29,2015 :: PRADHAN MANTRI MUDRA YOJNA [ PMMY ], a flagship scheme of Government of India, was launched on 8th April, 2015 by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to “fund the unfunded” by bringing such enterprises to the formal financial system and extending affordable credit to them. To promote this initiative all the Banks in the state of Jharkhand under the umbrella of State Level Bankers Committee, Jharkhand state, have started sanction and disbursement of huge number of MUDRA loans in the ongoing mega MUDRA camp from 1st of September 2015 which is scheduled to continue till 2nd of October 2015. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi will launch the Mega Mudra campaign in Dumka, Jharkhand on 2nd of October 2015, wherein he will also distribute sanctions of MUDRA cards & loans to the beneficiaries.
SLBC under the leadership of Bank of India coordinates various banking activities among all the banks in the state of Jharkhand. Mrityunjay Kumar Gupta [ General Manager, Bank of India and Convenor SLBC, has said that “PMMY is playing important role in providing gainful employment opportunities to poor, backward and employed individuals to make them self reliant”.
The PMMY provides loans upto Rs 10 Lakhs to small entrepreneurs for non-farm activities. Three Products are avialable under the scheme namely “Shishu”, “Kishore” and “Tarun” to signify the stage of growth and the funding needs of thr beneficiary micro unit or entrepreneur.
Shishu category covers loans upto Rs 50,000 while Kishor covers above Rs 50, 000 and upto Rs 5 Lakhs. Tarun category provides loans of above Rs 5 Lakhs and upto Rs 10 Lakhs. In Lending, priority has been given to SCs/STS and women enterprises. Under this scheme Banks in the state of Jharkhand are providing Loans to SSI, Service sectors units, Retail Shops, Fruit Vendors, Transport Operators, Small Hotels, artisans, food processing units, repairing shops and other small activities.
Mritunjay Kumar Gupta has told that there is  provision for issuance of MUDRA cards for working capitals Limits. MUDRA Card is a innovative product in which borrower has option to take credit on flexible terms at his own convenience. Cash withdrawal under MUDRA card can be availed through ATMs of all the banks.
