Ranchi, Jharkhand | January | 30, 2018 :: Bal Raksha Bharat (Save the Children, India) through its Jharkhand State Programme Office is carrying multifarious interventions in the state since 2011-12, on issues related to children including Health & Nutrition, Education, Child Protection & Child Education. Our interventions and the various issues related to child rights have been given substantive space amongst various media platforms, particularly in print media.
Through initiatives like Media Workshop and Fellowships we seek to support state-level media organizations to enable their journalists to get an in-depth understanding of child rights issues. As the fourth pillar of democracy, media engagement is critical to influence policy makers, decision makers and other relevant stakeholders and fortify our advocacy and campaign initiatives in the state to better the lives of children – especially those who are the most marginalized. Many of the issues that we work upon and their related intricacies would be highlighted and emphasized.
Against this backdrop Save the Children in association with XISS is organising a Media Workshop on 30th January 2018, at the campus of XISS from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. Following which there would be an announcement of Media Fellowship for three persons.
