Ranchi, Jharkhand 30 September 2014 :: Health Minister Rajendra Prasad Singh along with other senior officials presented keys of Scooties to the best selected Sahaiyas of the state at RCH campus in Ranchi on Tuesday. The State govt faliciated 23 best women health workers & provided them with scooters for exploring new avenues to boost the healthcare system in state. Also, the sahiyas working under the Jharkhand Rural Health mission Society were given certificates of “Sarvashresth Sahiya” for their contribution to the feild. These Sahiyas have been selected for their contribution to improving mother and child health status through institutional delivery, antenatal and postnattal care, immunisation drives, home based neonatal care and health education for adolescent girls among others.Taking note of the inputs given by the health workers, the minister Rajendra Prasad Singh annonced a three day training for Sahiyas. Also, the minister directed all civil surgeons to ensure that the sahiyas got driving Licence at the earliest.
