The 11th National Conference on Recent Advances in Mathematics ( NCRAM-2015 )

Faridabad, 23 February 2015 :: The 11th National Conference on ‘Recent Advances in Mathematics’ ( NCRAM-2015 ) is being organized in Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh by the Department of Mathematics .This two days National Conference is sponsored by DGHE, Panchkula and Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India under the guidance of President, Aggarwal College Ballabgarh Lala Sh. Rattan Singh Gupta and Principal Dr. Krishan Kant Gupta. Dr.K.L.Kaushik, Head, Department of Mathematics was the convener and Dr. Naresh Kamra, Department of Mathematics was the Organizing Secretary of the conference. The Chief Guest of the Inauguration ceremony of the first day of the conference was Sh. R.S.Goel, Ex. Principal, Aggarwal College Ballabgarh, Chairperson was Rattan Singh Gupta President Governing Body, Aggarwal College, Ballabgarh and Prof. Babu Ram MRIU, Faridabad. The Guest of Honour was Prof. S.C. Arora, former Prof. and Head, Department of Mathematics, Delhi University, and Keynote Speaker was Prof. Mrs. Renu Chugh, Department of Mathematics, M.D. University, Rohtak.The Programme commenced with lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Principal Dr. Krishan Kant Gupta, Dr. K. L. Kaushik and Dr. Naresh Kamra extended a floral welcome to all the guests. Thereupon in his address, Principal Dr. Krishan Kant welcomed all the guests and sought their benediction in all the activities of the college. He said that such activities help students in broadening their vision and help them move forward with new knowledge and learning.Dr. K. L. Kaushik, convener, presented the theme of the conference and welcomed all the guests and delegates.
Dr. Renu Chugh , Keynote Speaker, praised Dr. Krishan Kant Gupta as a dynamic person and congratulated the organizing committee for organizing this conference at such a grand scale. In her keynote address she presented glimpses of omnipresence of Mathematics in nature. She explained the importance of Mathematics in its various manifestations, in universe and in nature in the forms of symmetry. Then she deliberated on two important mathematical concepts of ‘chaos’ and ‘fractals’ and their applications in medicine, ancient monuments, temples, music, plants, electronics, human body and in nature and their mention even in Vedic literature. Dr.R.S. Goel in his Inaugural Address congratulated the organizing team for organizing this conference.
Then the proceedings of the conference was released. Principal Dr. Krishan Kant Gupta presented token of regards and mementos to all the guests. At the end of the inaugural session Dr. Naresh Kamra, Organizing Secretary, presented vote of thanks.
After the inaugural session, there were four technical sessions in which delegates presented their research papers. Chairperson of the first technical session was Prof. Babu Ram and Dr. Renu Chugh. Prof S.C. Arora and Prof. Gulshan Taneja presented very informative papers.In the second technical session, Prof. P.S. Deshwal and Prof. Gulshan Taneja chaired the session. Prof. Sudhir Batra, Dr. R.K. Agnihotri and Dr. Gopal Datt presented their research papers. The two sessions of oral presentations were chaired by Prof. Dalip Singh, Dr.R.K. Agnihotri and Prof. Gulshan Taneja. Twenty delegates gave oral presentations in these two sessions.
During the second day of the conference, there will be five technical sessions followed by a valedictory function in which Dr. B. S. Sindhu, Controller of Examinations, M.D University, will be the Chief Guest and Sh. Devender Gupta, Director, Pivotal Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, Faridabad will be the Chairperson.
Such Conferences help develop the critical and evaluative faculties of teachers and students.
