07 March 2015 :: Veteran Congress leader and Kerala Assembly Speaker G Karthikeyan, who was undergoing treatment for liver cancer at Health Care Global (HCG) hospital in Bengaluru, died today morning. He was 66 and is survived by his wife and two sons.

G Karthikeyan was born to N. P. Gopala Pillai and Smt.Vanajakshy Amma. He was born at Varkala on 20 January 1949. He married Dr. M.T. Sulekha and they have two sons.
