10 April 2013 :: A Workshop on Press Photography was organized by Department of Journalism & Mass communication, Ranchi University & Lens Eye [ News Portal ] in the Department. The Director of the Department, Sushil Ankan declared the workshop Open.
Workshop had two sessions. in the first session, which was Knowledge session, Kuldeep Singh Deepak [ Senior Journalist ], Diwakar Prasad [ Senior Photographer – Hindustan Times ] & Jagdish Singh [ Admin – Lens Eye ] gave the important tips regarding the Press Photography.
Kuldeep Singh Deepak told that the perfect timing in very important in Press Photography. Diwakar Prasad said that the Newcomers should think before Clicking. Jagdish Singh gave a detail description about Photo journalism through his PPT presentation.
In the second session students were asked to shoot near by news worthy subjects. A lots of entries were submitted, from which three finalists were selected. Judge for the competition were Kuldeep Singh Deepak, Uday Shankar Mishra & Jagdish Singh.
