Ranchi, Jharkhand | December | 01, 2016 :: On World AIDS Day, December 1, 2016; a blood donation camp was organised by the students of Human Resource Department of XISS, Ranchi with the collaboration of HDFC Bank, Jharkhand State AIDS Control Society (JSACS) and Life savers,a club constituted by the NGO ‘Doctors for You’.
Gulam Mujtaba and Pawan Kumar Thakur from HDFC Bank were present to look after the on-going blood donation camp. Atul Gera from Lifesavers volunteered for the cause. Viplava Thakur from XISS monitored the proceedings of the camp.
During the camp, Tulika Sneha, Yaman Kishlay Kujur, Shubham Bharadwaj and many more volunteers participated in the donation after preliminary onsite medical screening for donor’s health history, haemoglobin level, body weight and blood pressure.
A total of 45 units of blood were collected. The donors were acknowledged with certificates from JSACS.
This was the third blood donation camp organised by XISS in a span of four months .This initiative showcases the oath taken by XISS –resolving to help the needy in the society. The values inculcated at XISS continue to imbibe pupils with the drive and desire to give back to the society.
