XISS, Ranchi :: The Independence Day Celebration

Ranchi, Jharkhand | August | 15, 2017 :: The 70th Independence Day Celebrations at XISS was not just another event but a sheer fusion of art, culture & entertainment. The event was graced by the presence ofFr. Director Alexius Ekka SJ, who was the honorable guest. It was hosted in the auditorium of the institute with a full packed crowd amidst a lot of cheering.

The event began with our Tricolor being hoisted by the guest-of-honor as the National Anthem played out loud, the echo of which gave us a sense of great pride. It was followed by an inspirational speech by Fr. Alexius Ekka SJ, who has been an excellent guiding force behind the institute’s success.

Organized by the Marketing Team, the program saw some extra-ordinary stage-performances by the students in a skit based on a poverty, untouchability, corruption, and education system. The atmosphere was then filled with sweet musical notes by Zeeshan and group who presented a classic singing-show. The whole crowd came alive on a popular patriotic-song and joined in chorus with the band, an absolute delight to watch.
