JEPC and UNICEF Jharkhand organized an interactive webinar on psychosocial well-being during COVID and Exam Preparedness

Ranchi, Jharkhand  | September  | 15, 2020 ::  JEPC and UNICEF Jharkhand organized an interactive webinar on psychosocial well-being during COVID and Exam Preparedness on 15th September from 11 am to 1 pm on YouTube. COVID-19 and the resultant lockdown saw adults and children confined within their homes as schools and offices remained closed. This had adverse psychosocial implications on families, especially children at grade 9 to 12 level who are undergoing stress, anxiety and fear of facing exams during these tough days of the pandemic. Therefore, as a corollary, the organizers of this webinar decided to create an online platform where the student community across Jharkhand can address their anxiety and learn some systematic approaches to overcome the fear of examinations.
Senior officials like Shri Rahul Sharma, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Jharkhand and Shri Dr. Shailesh Kumar Chourasia, SPD, Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) introduced the topic and welcomed the experts. Parul Sharma from UNICEF spoke about the importance of mental health and for both adults and children.

Two esteemed speakers contributed their skills in making this webinar a success – Dr. Nishant Goyal, a Psychiatrist from CIP, Kanke Ranchi and the second was Dr. Anuradha Vats a Psychiatrist from Ranchi. A total of 5625 participants joined the webinar comprising of students, teachers, parents, BRPs and CRPs. At the end participants put forth their queries some of which were answered by the experts while the rest will be answered through E-Vidyavahini soon.
