Jharkhand Chief Minister, Hemant Soren won the Vote of Confidence.

Ranchi, 18 July 2013 :: Hemant Soren, Chief Minister  Jharkhand won the vote on confidence motion in the State Assembly.  The Soren government got 43 votes in its favour while 37 MLAs voted against the motion after a heated debate in a special Assembly session on Thursday.

 The Soren-led Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government was formed July 13 and he was asked by Governor Syed Ahmad to prove his majority within a week. In the 82-seat Assembly, Soren needed the support of at least 42 MLAs.
