Ranchi, Jharkhand | September | 21, 2017 :: The dawn of 21st September came with the shower of blessings of Maa Durga for the students of SBPS. The day began with a special assembly conducted by the students making the initiation of the nine days long puja celebration.
A special prayer was sung by the senior choir group of the school coupled with a special dance performance. While in the junior section, students hailed Maa Durga with a dance and a song.
On this auspicious day, the students sought the blessings of the Goddess of Power, who steers us away from the vexation of life. with this thought, the students of the school contributed an amount of more than five lakh rupees for treatment of Shaurya, a five year old boy, who is in the grip of life threatening rare disease, ‘Hunter Syndrome”. His father accepted the amount in presence of the Principal and all the students of the school. He thanked the management and the students for the contribution.
School Head Personnel & Admin. Pradip Varma blessed the students and wish them on the occasion.
Principal Mrs. Paramjit Kaur said that the school is responsible to develop the feeling of respect for different cultures and traditions among the students and by celebrating these festivals we endeavour to keep our students connected with our cultural roots.
