Ranchi, Jharkhand 28 December 2014 :: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Raghuvar Das became the first non-tribal to take oath on Sunday as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He is the 10th CM of Jharkhand. He took oath of office and secrecy from Governor Syed Ahmad at a football stadium, Morabadi, Ranchi.
Four Ministers three from the BJP [ Neelkanth Singh Munda, C.P. Singh and Louis Marandi ] and one from the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) [Chandra Prakash Chaudhary ] also took oath.
Jharkhand has a maximum limit of 12 ministers, including the chief minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not attend the ceremony due to a thick fog in New Delhi. Home Minister Rajnath Singh too failed to make it, also due to bad weather. BJP President Amit Shah to cancel their visit to Jharkhand to attend the ceremony.
Central Ministers M. Venkaih Naidu, Nitin Gandkari, Chief Ministers Raman Singh of Chhattisgarh and Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra attended the event
