06 February 2015 :: Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan, makes her acting debut with R. Balki’s Shamitabh. In the film, Haasan portrays a film director who is a potential love interest for Dhanush’s character.
Akshara Haasan (born 12 October 1990) is an Indian film actress, screenwriter, assistant director who works primarily in Bollywood and the Tamil film industry. Haasan was tipped to be launched by Mani Ratnam in his romantic tale Kadal opposite Gautham Karthik. She has also refused several other offers before accepting R. Balki’s film Shamitabh along with Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush.
Akshara Haasan was born on 12 October 1990 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. Her father is a Tamilian while her mother is a half Marathi and half Rajput. Shruti Haasan is her elder sister. Haasan completed her schooling in Chennai, and later at The International School of Bangalore
