 “Anubhav” Management Case Study Contest at Management Training Institute of SAIL

Ranchi, Jharkhand | June | 28, 2017 :: National HRD Network Ranchi Chapter organised the finals the fifth edition of the National level business case study contest “Anubhav” at Management Training Institute of SAIL.
More than 60 participants had registered themselves for the contest from which eight finalists were selectedfor the final round belonging to various organisations located in different parts of the country such as International School of Informatics and Management Jaipur, IIHMR University Jaipur, MICA Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, Institute of Management, Nirma University Ahmedabad, BSL SAIL Bokaro, DSP SAIL Durgapur, ISP SAIL Burnpur.
The jury panel for evaluating the cases comprised top academicians and technocrats based in Ranchi namely  N K Jha, Former Chief Executive Officer of IISCO Steel Pant SAIL, Dr Hemant Srivastava, Management Consultant and Fellow IIM Indore and Dr Kumar Mohit Spring, Faculty HRM Department XISS.
The eight finalist teams presented their cases before the panel of jury during the final round of the competition. N Gopalakrishnan from IIM Kozhikode was declared the winner of the competition for his case “Leadership In Unfamiliar Environments: Airbus’ Establishment Of An Engineering Center In India”. Team comprising Dr Kavaldeep Dixit &Dr. Bharti Sharma from International School of Informatics and Managementand Dr. Tanjul Saxena, IIHMR University secured the second place for their case “Promoting Out-of-Home consumption of Tea in a funky café format: Tapri-The Tea House”. Team from ISP, SAIL, Burnpur comprising  Abhishek Kumar and Ms Soumya Sachdeva was adjudged third for their case “Rise of the Phoenix”.
The Award distribution ceremony was organized after the final round of the competition. S K Saha, ED (Safety), SAIL was the chief guest and Mrs Kamakshi Raman ED (HRD), SAIL was the guest of honourof the award distribution ceremony. Winner of the competition received Rs. 40, 000. The second and the third position holders received Rs. 20000 and Rs. 10000 respectively. Each of the finalist teams received Rs. 5000. Cases contributed by all the finalist teams were published as part of the Twenty second edition of “A Book of Selected Cases”, which was was released on the occasion by the chief guest S. K Saha.
