Ranchi, Jharkhand | October | Sunday | 02, 2016 :: Rotaract Club of SXC Ranchi in association with Ranchi Municipal Corporation organised a “CITY BEAUTIFICATION DRIVE” at Khadgara Bus Stop, Ranchi where walls were painted in bright hues to promote cleanliness in Ranchi and stop people from making walls dirty. Students from the club were up working on a wall extension at the ISBT terminus and transformed the entire stretch into a piece of art with their efforts. The event was coordinated by Club President Rahul Pandey along with Secretary Riya Thakur and Treasurer UmanGParashrampuriaOn this Occassion City Coordinator Shahid Hassan, SUDA Director Rajesh Kumar Shrama, Municipal Commissioner Prashant Kumar, Assistant Municipal Commissioner VidyanandPankaj Sharma, Arun Kumar and Anjali Singh from UDHD and Rotary ex-President R Shahdeo, ZRR Diptesh Nawal were present.
Members Antara, Debjani, Purva, Nidhi, Siddhant, Ashish, Apoorva, Rahul were present.
In a special talk with DRR DipteshNawal, Rotaract District 3250, said “This is a novel attempt by the club at beautifying the city and we are proud of the contribution made by the club towards the city. The walls have been transformed and more such efforts should be taken on a larger scale in collaboration with the management. ”
Whereas Rahul Pandey, president, Rotaract Club of SXC told “I enjoyed painting the walls and this was an impossible event without cooperation from RMC. I on behalf of the club thank them for taking this project forward and helping us with it. We actually were overwhelmed when some guests decided to pitch in with painting and the results were beautifully breath taking.”
