‘Creating an MNC- Meri Nayi Company’ is the way forward for ASU students  Gurgaon, Haryana | August | Friday | 21, 2015 :: The third day of Orientation Programme of Apeejay Stya University began with a sumptuous spread of tea and snacks. What followed was an ASU round table, where all the Deans at ASU outlined the salient features of their respective schools. They talked about the trans disciplinary nature of education at the university. The students were encouraged to perceive, conceive and imagine and were asked to apply what they learn. The concepts of Liberal Arts and Meta University were elaborated upon.

This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic “Global Market Challenges and Opportunities: Roadmaps for creating corporate ready manpower”. The panel comprised of Dr VP Singh, Executive VP, Devyani International,  Chandan Sen Gupta, Senior Group VP, Sandhar Technologies,  Sudeep Luthra, National Head, Orange,  Kishore Chakraborty, Executive VP, Mc Caan and Rahul Nehra, Chairman, Smart Village Foundation.‘Creating an MNC- Meri Nayi Company’ is the way forward for ASU studentsThe discussion was moderated by Dr VP Singh, who gave interesting insights and observations regarding student life, and encouraged the students to take ownership of their lives.  Chandan Sen Gupta emphasised on the need to evaluate dreams and goals, and to work backwards from there on. Kishore Chakraborty, asked the students to play to their strengths while Rahul Nehra talked about bringing valuable technology to rural areas and outlined many models including a bus retrofitted with TV screens for watching movies.

Another panel discussion followed a brief lunch break.  Vikas Gupta, Chairman Compark Group,  Sourabh Deorah, Founder and CEO, Workadvantage, Ms Aditi Malhotra, Founder, Space Apart,  Saket Garg, Founder, Zipout participated in the discussion. The topic for discussion was “Creating My Own MNC- Meri Nayi Company”. These successful entrepreneurs who belonged to the Apeejay family shared their personal journeys and inspired the students to discover themselves. This session certainly infused a lot of excitement amongst the students.‘Creating an MNC- Meri Nayi Company’ is the way forward for ASU studentsThe panel discussions paved way for an immensely entertaining cultural program which included dance, singing and extremely interactive game. The freshers were very enthusiastic and enjoyed this fun-filled conclusion of the day.
