Cultural Programme at SBPS on Independence Day Eve

SBPSRanchi, Jharkhand | August | Friday | 14, 2015 :: On the eve of Independence Day, students of Sarala Birla Public School performed a cultural programme commemorating 68th anniversary of Indian Independence. There was a symphony of sound, light and action and the students were highly inclined and enthusiastic about their performances. On this occasion ICICI Bank Ranchi conducted an art competition for the junior students of the school.
The programme initiated with a group dance competition as a pre- inauguration event. Twenty six troupes of dancers of boys & girls varying from std. III to VIII showed their calibre in dance of various forms – classical, national, foreign, regional and local. After this, the Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh lighted the lamp in the ubiquitous sound of shloka chanting by the students.
It was followed by a welcome song comprising mixed patriotic songs by a chorus of 100 students. The decency of the song lied in its sonorous melody.
Divyansh, a student of std X delivered a speech on the importance of Independence in our lives and how we can make our Independence more productive, relevant & fruitful .Then solo English song was sung by Divyanshu . The boys performed a group dance on Bande Matram followed by a patriotic skit by a troupe of boys on how we got freedom. The performance was fused with PPT depicting the struggle for freedom from 1857 to 1947. Consequently, girls danced on Jai Ho which was marvelous in all the respects.
As the chairperson of the programme, SBPS Principal Mrs. Poonam Singh delivered an inspiring and spellbinding speech on importance of Independence & its relevance in every Indians life. Appreciating the entire programme she thanked all performers, trainers and audience students for their respective role in the success of the program. She appreciated the teachers for their pivotal role in making the programme a huge success.
