Ranchi, Jharkhand | April | 04, 2020 :: In view of the global COVID-19 crisis across the world and consequent lockdown imposed in the country which has severely affected the classroom teaching DAV Kapildev Public School, Kadru, Ranchi,in abidance of the guidelines of Hon’ble Director, (PS-1) Dr.J.P Shoor has started the online teaching for its students from Std.LKG -XII .It has been receiving outstanding support and response from the students as well as parents.
Upon asked by a press reporter regarding the online teaching mechanism, Director who has played a pivotal role in steering ahead the DAV Education Movement all over the country apprised him of the adoption of e-learning during the lockdown period with a prime motive that the studies of students do not get hampered .
While addressing the media he called upon the students as well as parents to maintain the social distancing at any cost keeping themselves safe, healthy and happy.He reported that all 74 schools in Jharkhand have been doing a tremendous job.
However, the digital teaching initiated by DAV Kadru is unique,highly commendable and worthy to be mentioned.
He appreciated the Principal Mr. M.K Sinha for his stellar role in leading the team and disseminating high quality knowledge through online teaching.
The Principal Mr.M.K. Sinha who didn’t want the students to waste their valuable time at home wished that teaching and learning should ever remain uninterrupted and even during the lockdown period.
Accordingly,he took immediate steps as mentioned under to upgrade the software engineering of the school so that the students could gain an access to the online teaching forthwith.
1) Syllabus, chapter wise summary, questionnaire and assignments have been prepared from STD LKG to XII and made available for the students.Teachers, in no time, are giving prompt and positive response to the doubts and queries raised by the students.
2) WhatsApp Group and it’s Group Admin separately for all classes have been made to which all the students are connected.
3) Printed materials as well as quality videos for all classes and subjects in sync with the prescribed syllabus are being provided to the students.
4) Online Re-test for STD Vlll was conducted successfully and the evaluation work is under process.
5) Books from STD LKG-Vlll as e-books are available in the school website.
6) Each WhatsApp Group is led by a teacher who monitors the online activities and tasks with due responsibility and commitment.
7) Each day the Principal invariably makes review of the session along with the class In-Charges and give worthy guidelines and comments.
8)Time-Table for online classes and subjects has been fixed and communicated to all concerned.
Apart from this, the Principal has made a clarion call to all students to stay indoors , take all safety measures and help fight this menace with all their might .
A large number of parents are extremely happy over this noble endeavour and initiative undertaken by the Principal to fight the adversity arising out of the novel Corona virus .
They expressed their pleasure and gratitude for engaging their wards in studies and creating a very positive e-learning ambiencein the school.

My Brothers and Sisters,
While the entire human race has got together to fight the deadly Virus which is running unabated attacking lacs of people and killing thousands, the news about the role of some misguided, fanatics is shocking.
Their extremely wrong and deplorable behaviour of flouting the Lockdown rules and then, above all, pelting stones and spitting at the Doctors and other health workers, is absolutely intolerable.
These medical and para-medical workers are our first and ONLY line of defence in our battle against COVID 19.
They are our heros and Saviours. So, let us all pray to the Almighty to give wisdom to these misguided souls and guide their “Budhi” in the right direction.
I am deeply touched by the immediate and over whelming response to my appeal which I made two days ago.
I have received numerous calls and mails supporting this move. Money is pouring into the DAV College Managing Committee Relief Fund Account. Many have given more than their one days salary.
The Alumni of DAV have specially risen to answer this appeal.
The money so collected will be transferred to the PM CARES FUND immediately.
Under the dynamic leadership of our Honourable PM, Shri Narinder Modi ji, India seems to be fighting the battle in the correct way, and will, soon, see the end of Corona Virus.
Let us strengthen the hands of our PM by following his advice of staying indoors, maintaining Social distancing, and ensuring good personal hygiene.
I am great-full to the teachers who have shifted to the on line teaching methods.
Many videos have been prepared by our teachers and new skills have been shown by them.
I request the Directors to please search for talent amongst these teachers.
I would like to start an Incubator for Principals of DAV.
The talented ones and the ones with a spark can be trained to give them a better chance of becoming DAV Principals of tomorrow.
I heard a story on TV yesterday that Vidur asked Yodhishtar. If the entire jungle was to burn, then which animals will survive ?
Yodhishtar replied that the strong animals, like Lions, Tigers, Elephants, etc will all perish. Animals that can run very fast, like deer, rabbits, etc will also die.
Only the animals that stay in their burrows will survive. So please stay at home, stay healthy, and stay gainfully employed.
